On Saturday, July 22, 2023, we hosted a family-friendly volunteer day at our storage room to pack hygiene kits for our Project Self-Esteem initiative. We are honored to share that we had 22 volunteers ranging in age from 3 to 73 pack nearly 150 hygiene kits to be distributed to vulnerable youth in need!

We are incredibly grateful to every single volunteer who spent part of their Saturday with Empower 7 to make a difference in the lives of at-risk teens in North Texas. Your time and energy make everything we do at Empower 7 possible! We are especially thankful for the team at JustServe.org (https://www.justserve.org/) who has promoted our volunteer events and helped us reach more people in the community who are passionate about bringing the love of Jesus Christ to those in need.

At Empower 7, we care a great deal about the self-esteem of at-risk teens. At-risk teens often struggle with their self-esteem due to the lack of necessities and access to hygiene items. Such conditions can lead to feelings of low self-worth, identity confusion, depression, and other mental health issues.

Providing at-risk teens with basic necessities such as toiletries and other personal care items can help boost their self-esteem by improving their day-to-day quality of life. At Empower 7, we collect donations for these items and give them to youth in need to empower them to feel confident, which in turn can increase their sense of value and purpose. It also allows them to focus on their studies and personal growth instead of worrying about surviving day-to-day.
