Love Your Neighbor
“Love the Lord your God… and love your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” James 1:27
How We Care for Our Neighbors
When Jesus was asked, “Who is my neighbor?” He told the parable of the Good Samaritan(Luke 10:30–37). A traveler is beaten and left on the road. Many pass by, but one stops — showing mercy, tending his wounds, providing shelter, and securing ongoing care. Jesus ends with a simple command: “Go and do likewise.”
Today, vulnerable youth in North Texas are like that traveler — foster teens, aged-out young adults, and unaccompanied/homeless youth who need neighbors willing to stop and act. Through Love Your Neighbor, Empower 7 turns compassion into action so every young person can experience stability, healing, and hope in Christ.

How We Put Love Into Action
See. We recognize the real needs of vulnerable youth in our community.
Stop. We step into the gap with practical help and Christ-centered care.
Serve. We mobilize neighbors—pray, give, serve—so hope becomes tangible.
Here’s how you can “go and do likewise” — choose a project below and jump in.
Why It Matters
Real Youth, Real Needs. Teens aging out of care face homelessness, instability, and isolation.
Whole-Life Care. Projects align with our three-tiered continuum of programs — Blessings, Growth, Launch — and are strengthened by Neighborhood Watch (under 18) and RootedPath (18–24)
Hope in Christ. Every initiative reflects Jesus’ call to love our neighbors with mercy and action – living out the kind of pure faith James describes: caring for the fatherless in their distress.

PROJECTS TO SUPPORT
Each of these initiatives is a practical way to love your neighbor today.

Together We Are Lighting Their Way to a Brighter Future
Our vision is for every youth to flourish with hope, live with purpose, pursue the future God has planned for them, and shine as lights in the world. Empower 7 walks with vulnerable youth today through care, mentoring, and practical support — while building toward the Empower 7 Ranch: a Christ-centered residential community where at-risk youth will find safety, healing, and hope.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
