Every young person deserves a place to call their own. Through Personal Space Makeovers, we’re giving vulnerable youth more than furniture and décor—we’re giving them dignity, confidence, and a fresh start on the path to independence.

Starting over is hard—but it’s even harder without a space to feel safe, seen, and supported.
For youth aging out of foster care, facing housing instability, or stepping into college or career training without family support, a dorm room or first apartment is more than just four walls. It’s a blank slate. A new beginning.
Through RootedPath, Personal Space Makeovers transform these spaces into something beautiful, functional, and personal. With the help of caring volunteers and generous donors, we provide essential items like bedding, storage, and study tools—along with thoughtful touches that reflect each young person’s unique style and goals.
Every makeover is a message that says: You matter. You belong. And you’re not alone.

What We Do
We transform dorm rooms and apartments into welcoming, functional spaces for youth stepping into independence.
Each space is designed to:
- Provide comfort and stability
- Support daily living and personal growth
- Reflect the individuality of each young person
- Create a sense of ownership and belonging
These transformations are made possible through a combination of donated items, financial support, and volunteer teams who bring each space to life.
