THE EMPOWER 7 RANCH
Children are our most valuable gift, the promise of our future. They belong in loving, stable families and deserve safe and thriving environments. Sadly, we recognize this is not always possible for some teens. The care and treatment desperately required by some teens cannot be met safely and effectively by their families or in a traditional foster-family or kinship setting. Empower 7 is called to fill this gap.
Empower 7’s primary goal is to build a safe, serene residential community where vulnerable youth may transform themselves into purposeful adults. This place is lovingly referred to as “The Empower 7 Ranch” or simply “The Ranch.” The development will include cottage group homes, common areas for educational, recreational, and social activities, and structures for farming and ranching.
The Ranch will offer the following in a Christ-centered atmosphere:
Ultimately, our youth will leave our care with confidence, dignity, purpose and eagerness to make the world a better place to live.
THE RANCH DESIGN CONTEST
Under the direction of Kim Card, Teacher of the Architecture Career Pathway at Rockwall ISD Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy, Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath High School students from the Architectural Design 2 and Practicum of Architecture classes designed our first renderings of The Empower 7 Ranch. As a result of their unwavering support and talent, we have visuals to support our promotional needs and ideas to make The Ranch relevant to teen’s interests.
