EMPOWER 7 ANNOUNCES AMICA ROCKWALL AS A 2022 WARRIOR SPONSOR
Empower 7 received a $5000 grant from AMICA ROCKWALL on April 9, 2022, to support Project Self Esteem. This generous grant amount makes AMICA ROCKWALL a 2022 Warrior Sponsor.
Established in 1979, AMICA is a 501c3 charitable organization comprised of up to forty fabulous ladies who work to make a difference in the lives of children and the underprivileged in the Rockwall/ Heath community. They have given back $1,236,000 in donations and scholarships benefitting Rockwall Heath High School seniors and local charity organizations since 2005. The grant will directly support Empower 7’s Project Self Esteem, a year-round project that provides at-risk teens with the resources they need to feel good about themselves, so they can focus on their education. Many teens today often do not have the simplest of everyday hygiene and self-image items necessary for positive self-esteem. Our solution: gift hygiene supplies to our school liaisons to discreetly give to the teens in need. Our Basic 7 hygiene kits include FULL-SIZE shampoo/conditioner, brush/comb, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and washcloth. Other items, such as feminine hygiene supplies, socks, undies, and travel-sized toiletries are provided as well.
